C’mon Ellis Washington, come clean about your relationship with Michael Savage.

Washington is the professor of law and political science at Savannah State University who has written a handful of fawning articles about our favorite radio blowhard.

Ellis has come to the aid of his self-described “mentor and friend” over in his columns at the venerable World Net Daily. (You know, the Web site that first said the Obama birth certificate issue was bogus, then changed its mind, then boosted the Orly Taitz “real” Kenyan birth certificate, then changed its mind. Oh,and it also boosted the idea that President Obama is the “Antichrist.”)

So we’re not dealing with a publication that has a strong intellectually honest foundation.

Which is why Ellis Washington fits in so nicely as one of its columnists.

Why do I say that? Well, at the bottom of every column he writes is an impressive-sounding bio of Mr. Washington. ( I once had a boss opine that it was amazing how people could look so good on paper.)  Professor of law, former editor at Michigan Law Review, law clerk at the Rutherford Institute. But there is one thing that is missing: Savage biographer.

That’s right: Ellis Washington, who writes glowing column after glowing column defending his “mentor,” is on Michael Savage’s payroll and does not disclose it in his writings about the man.

That, my friends, is unethical and intellectually dishonest.

Ellis Washington is nothing more than a hack shilling for his boss.

And telling lies while he’s doing it.

Take this passage from his latest missive, published on Saturday:

Regarding the Stalinist tactics used in the May 5 blacklisting of Michael Savage by the United Kingdom in collusion with America and the Obama administration, must we add a third category of the disappeared – those unmentioned souls who are left alive but are treated as though they were dead?

It is the Savage silence of the lambs.

And then there’s this:

It is self-evident from the information now available though legal discovery and the yeoman efforts of Savage’s legal teams in America and England that the administration of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and America’s Obama administration, both working in collusion with each other, singled out and remade Michael Savage as a terrorist agent who should be banned from Britain for ‘fostering extremism and hatred.’

Wow. This is surprising because, supposedly, Washington is a trained lawyer (has anyone actually seen his diploma?) Yet in these two passages, he proffers “facts” that have no foundation. Were he to make these argument sin court, he’d be quickly shot down by a judge.

There is no proof that the Brown and Obama administrations “colluded” in Savage’s banning from the U.K. Absolutely none at all. All that has been provided is Savage’s assumption that the Obama administration was involved. He has provided not one fact to back that up. But that’s par for the course for Savage. Remember, he recently admitted that he would lie to make his point.

As for the information made available through legal discovery: The only information of that type is the series of emails among British Home Office officials which purport to show that Savage was banned because he is Jewish. That, of course, is a fiction crafted by Savage and his followers.

The emails in question do not refer to the British banned list, they refer to the “name and shame” list, the subset list of banned people which was released on May 5. There are more banned people than were included on that name and shame list.

So Ellis Washington, professor of law, is lying when he writes that the Obama and Brown administrations colluded to keep Savage out of Britain.

Savannah State must be so proud.

But that’s what shills do, they lie. And apparently, Ellis Washington, law professor, has that art down to a “T.” He does it almost as well as his friend and mentor, Michael Savage.
