First it was Media Matters, then it was the Obama administration, now it’s Saudi Arabia.

What is “it,” you ask. Why, “it” is the reason why Michael Savage was banned from entering Britain.

Apparently, Savage can’t accept the fact that he once advocated killing 100 million Muslims as one of the reasons former British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith decided to not only ban him from Britain, but to also include him in the “name and shame” list comprised of a selection of those banned.

No, Savage can’t take responsibility for his words. He doesn’t have the courage of his convictions; instead, he claims his comment was taken out of context.

First he said Right-wing media watchdog Media Matters was behind it. Then he alleged that someone in the administration of President Obama tipped off the British,

And tonight on his program, Savage demonstrated just how inflated his ego has become:

… the UK banned Savage for oil. We think the Saudis pulled the strings on this one my friend, that’s why they can’t let go. It was a straight-out, get Savage for the Dubai ports deal.

The “Dubai ports deal” refers to a campaign in which Savage participated several years ago, when the Bush Administration was planning on selling the security contracts for a number of US ports to a company headquartered in Dubai. Savage and other political figures raised a stink, and the deal was scotched.

So now, Savage apparently feels that his banning from Britain was orchestrated by the Saudis, and was agreed to by the British to gain favor in oil negotiations with Saudi Arabia.

He must have been up all weekend birthing that one. You have to think about this to appreciate its absurdity: The Sheik of Dubai is so pissed at Michael Savage for something that happened three years ago that the only way he can think of to extract revenge is to get him on a banned list in Britain.

Boy, you sure don’t want to cross those sheiks.

Keep the faith.
